Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Aftercare Guide to join our team. In this role, you will provide a safe and nurturing environment for children after school hours, facilitating engaging activities that promote social interaction, creativity, and personal growth. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and the ability to manage various activities while ensuring their well-being.
Responsibilities
- Maintain an environment with stimulating activities for preschool thru elementary-aged children after school hours.
- Ensure a safe, calm and caring environment for children during aftercare hours
- Supervise outdoor and indoor play, providing gentle guidance and support
- Maintain clean and orderly aftercare space and materials
- Communicate effectively with parents and staff as needed.
- Provides appropriate discipline in accordance with Children’s Meeting House’s guidelines
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work professionally with school staff, students and parents.
- Experience working with children, early childhood setting preferred.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Dependable, patient, compassionate with strong communication skills.
- First Aid/CPR Certification or willingness to obtain certification.
